Conditions and terms of use

A number of conditions and terms of use apply when you borrow the NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit. See the below sections for either "staff" or "students" below to learn more.

Students - Conditions and terms of use

Your loan of this equipment is based on the following terms:

The term equipment refers to the Nvidia Jetson Nano, and all other devices in the kit.

  1. The loan of the equipment requires that you are enrolled as student at AAU, and you are responsible for the use of the equipment.
     
  2. As a student you have an independent responsibility to comply with the General Data Protection Act (GDPR).
     
  3. As a student you are data controller for the personal data or information that you process while using the NJN. Please visit AAU's website for GDPR related info for students and read it carefully. Remember that images/video of persons constitute personal information. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the personal data controlled by you are processed in a secure and correct manner.
     
  4. The kit is delivered with a camera. Please act ethically and refrain from using it in places where other people may consider it unpleasant or annoying. You are responsible for acting according to the legislation of the country in which you use the equipment.
     
  5. The equipment must not be used to store confidential and/or sensitive data.
     
  6. The equipment must be returned within three months, or have the loan period extended - if possible. All equipment must be returned at the information desk of you local branch of Aalborg University Library.
     
  7. You may only use the equipment related to your study activities at AAU.
     
  8. You are solely responsible for damage to or loss of the equipment during the loan period. AAU determines whether the equipment shall be repaired or replaced. If AAU determines that it is not viable to repair the equipment or if the equipment is lost, you shall compensate AAU for the value of the equipment. If AAU determines that the equipment can be repaired, you shall pay for the repair.

Staff - Conditions and terms of use

Your loan of this equipment is based on the following terms:

  1. The loan of the equipment requires that you are employeed at AAU, and you are responsible for the use of the equipment.
     
  2. If you are interested in using the equipment in your research work, you need to go to the GDPR website and and complete and submit a notification of your data collection. You must also adhere to other GDPR regulations, e.g. gain consent when needed.

  3. If any of your students are interested in this piece of equipment, guide them to our website and let them lend one for themself. If you are interested in using the equipment as a part of your teaching or project duties, and/or hand out your own piece of equipment, please contact the Grants and Contracts office or send an email to persondata@adm.aau.dk to clarify additional details regarding GDPR.
